The other da...I just cringed when I read your post. The other day as I went through the check-out line the cashier noticed my "cancer sucks" cap and very short still-growing-out hair. So she said, "hey, I like your cap." I smiled. Then she blythly continued, "you know, my grandpa died from cancer..." From then on all I heard was my ears ringing. There are just some things you don't want to hear. They hit like a knife, too close to the bone. I'm terribly sorry for your friends.
